Maybank Indonesia formerly known as PT Bank International Indonesia TBK (BII), established on 15 May 1959, received its license as a foreign exchange bank in 1988, and is part of the Jakarta Stock Exchange and Surabaya was listed on the stock exchange as a publicly listed company. (now merged as Indonesia Stock Exchange) in 1989.
