Their aim was that anyone in real financial difficulty or in need of finance to fulfill their dreams, whether personal or professional, had institutional support and was not a victim of traditional moneylenders.
Since then the bank has been continuously growing. With a modest start in a small 500 sq ft. The main branch cum central office, which had a deposit base of 7.04 lakhs and total advances of 5.75 lakhs in June 1971, has now reached a business mix of Rs. 4287 crore and contributed Rs.6945 crore by depositing Rs. 2658 crore advance with 68 branches spread over 15 districts of Maharashtra.
In 1996, this bank was placed in Scheduled Status.

Our DNS Bank offers RuPay Debit Card and the card will be accepted at over one lakh ATMs of NFS member banks in the country and will be accepted at Point of Sale (POS) and Internet. The Bank is able to provide customers anytime, anywhere payment system services which are simple, easy to use, safe, secure, fast and cost effective version with the introduction of RuPay Debit Card.
RTGS and NEFT
Since 2004, when RBI introduced RTGS, DNS has been providing this electronic fund transfer facility. Using which a customer can transfer money to another person’s bank account in India within a few hours. NEFT facility which is similar to RTGS is also provided by the bank since the year 2007.
The bank has set up e-lobby in 11 branches. The lobby has facilities for customers to deposit checks, deposit cash, print passbooks, withdraw cash, 24 hours and 365 days a day. The customer of any branch can use the e-lobby for his needs.
While doing traditional banking, the bank has also fulfilled its social responsibilities. An amount of more than Rs 28 lakh has been provided as subsidy to 101 social and educational institutions operating in rural areas.
The Bank continues its efforts in micro-financing through Self Help Groups. This purpose includes poultry, dairy, goat rearing, procurement of fertilizers etc.
